Small bits of white on bottom of two front teeth?
My teeth are extremely clean and well kept. I water pick them and everything. I have noticed that on the bottom of my two front teeth there are slightly whiter/lighter bits. They are on the absolute bottom of the tooth on the left side, very very small What could this be from? Whitening toothpaste or something? Or gum, I chew a lot!?!?
I go to the orthodontist monthly.
Thanks so much Texas! Although, I can’t seam to pick it off because it is stuck! It is kind of like reverse staining (because it is white)
This is a small area of decalcification or hypo calcification. They are commonly seen, do not develop into cavities , and are only an aesthetic concern. I would not worry about them. Ask your orthodontist the next time you see him.
It could be plaque or tarter. If you take it off with a toothpick or something does it feel hard and rather chalky or is it soft like left over toothpaste or food? If it’s hard and chalky it’s probably one of the two things I mentioned before.
It’s probably not a panic situation, but clean it off as best you can and be sure to mention it to your orthodontist next visit.
Good luck to you!
