Should you have a white color in and around a extracted tooth?

I have been using salt water and every thing like I’m suposed to but I have a white color in and around my extracted tooth?Is this normal in healing or not?
I did not have any stitches.I hade it pulled on 3-17-08 I hade 3 pulled all together that day but I have hade 9 pulled in total my other ones I hade pulled have done the same thing but they seem to be helling ok.

Did you get stitches?? when i got mine extracted i had stitches…maybe thats all it is but you know wat i do actually remember nasty white gunk stuff building up on the threads…i had my surgeon check it out n he said it wasnt an infection or anything just continue with the salt water…make sure its warm, be careful when you brush, n if you are worried you could just give the office a call n they’ll either wanna look at it or tell you its normal. =]

I had all my teeth pulled and if I remember right white meant infection. When was the tooth pulled. I would go back to the dentist and get it checked out.
