How long is it going to take for my teeth to whiten?

So I just started trying to whiten my teeth today. I first floss, then I brush my teeth with a paste made from water and baking soda. I then also brush my teeth with peroxide, then with regular crest white tooth paste. Then I rinse my mouth out with scope. I’m just wondering how long its going to take my teeth to whiten if I do this daily.Thanks in advance.

baking soda is not going to whiten your teeth. I mean if there smudge on your teeth that will come off but baking soda wont do it.

the reason it does not work is once the stains are inside the pore, they are wedge in and baking soda cant do much. professional whitening works a
little different it opens up the pore so that the bleach can travel in "burn" the stain out.

professional kits depending come in 1 hour whitening, 3 day whitening and two week whitening.

I have been trying to whiten my teeth with Crest WhiteStrips but quickly found out that my tooth sensitivity would prevent me from finishing with it. I have heard that using baking soda works, but I am just looking for the best way possible.

i would probably try baking soda bc you can just add that to ur regular toothpaste or mix it with water – but be careful not to use it long term or without the advice of ur dentist bc home things could damage ur teeth over time.

i would ask ur dentist what he thinks the best thing would be. i know that when i got my bleaching trays and gel from my dentist he said that sometimes placing some toothpaste for sensitive teeth into the trays (and/or brushing with it) can help with the sensitivity.

how can I whiten teeth without paying the full price?

I just got braces off and they look yellow, but as a student I don’t want to pay the full price? Is there any trick to whiter teeth? (I already use whitening tooth paste and they don’t seem to be working.)

If you are under age 35 and a nonsmoker than no matter what you do your teeth will NOT get much whiter at all. Because teeth are suppose to be off white/ ivory colored, NOT white.

You can try Crest white strips or listerine white strips. Other than that there isnt much except asking a dentist for an expensive treatment (300 dollars or higher).

Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question… but i was wondering if it is possible to whiten a dead tooth. I’m going to be using Crest whitestrips, whitening toothpaste/toothbrush… to whiten my tooth. I was wondering if the dead tooth is possible? It doesnt matter cuz im going to be whitening my other teeth anyways for when the dentist whitens that tooth with this one stuff (veneers i think??)… But i was wondering if that tooth could actually be whitened?

The staining you are talking about is from "inside" your tooth and any whitening product you put on the outside will do nothing to it.

Dental Whitening? I have dental work on the front of my front tooth. Will the whitener whiten it too?

Dental work? As in veneers or caps? If that is the answer then nothing will whiten artificial teeth. They have to be white as you desire to start with. You teeth will whiten just fine just not artificial teeth.

Crest white strips work very well but sometimes takes more than one box to get the desired color.

Can you recommend me a cheap tooth whitening system…?

First go get your teeth cleaned, then use white strips (you only need to use them 2 a year), then in between white strips and cleanings use a whitening tooth paste, and after you brush use the new listerine whitening rinse, it really works well.

I need to whiten my teeth without buying things…..I have tried whitening tooth paste, white strips..and they won’t get them white enough… and i really don’t want to go to the dentist! Please help, Thanks!
If you say any kind of whitening strips…can you please tell me how much they are?!

This might sound weird, but banana peels!! You rub the inside of the peel (white part opposite of yellow side) across your teeth for about 5 minutes. Than, you take a tooth brush and brush off the residue. In about a month, you teeth will improve by two shades of white! Good Luck!!! ;D

my tooth got knocked out playing sports, and if i whiten my teeth and match a fake one, how long before you could notice my fake tooth is whiter then the others,

I am currently bleaching my teeth and have some bonding as well as a few crowns. When my natural teeth get their whitest, then I will need to schedule an appt with dentist to get them replaced to match the new shade.

As for how long it will take, everyone is different. It depends how quickly you lighten.

I am using Opalescence, and have had good results so far. Good luck!
