Are there any systems out there that work? I have heard about White light and i have heard many good reviews but a lot of bad reviews.I guess it depends on your teeth. I know about going to the dentist and i know about teeth strips but are there any effective systems , at home systems that is. Thanks

I have heard bad things about the lights.. But I have personally used the strips from the store like crest whitening and they work pretty well.. If your teeth are badly stained though I know the dentist whitening regiment works REALLY well but it is expensive and insurance does not always cover it. Oh and I was told by a dentist that the whitening mouth rinse does not work (but I saw a minor change in my smile after using it twice a day for a couple weeks)>… Goodluck

There is a large family of "dyestuffs" that are called "Optical Brightening Agents" or "Fluorescent Whitening Agents" these are used extensively in the paper and textile industries to make the substrate appear whiter. These dyes have the ability of absorbing invisible ultraviolet light with a wavelength below 400nm and re-emitting the light at a wavelength in the visible spectrum. So the object appears whiter – as long as there is some UV light present. Laundry detergents contain these products to make the washed clothing look whiter. Some substances naturally fluoresce under UV light. If your teeth do this it is most probably because the toothpaste contains some of these substances.

the whitening kit "White Light" – which works very well by the way- has a blueish gel that has to be spread upon the teeth before activating the white light, what is that gel made out of? I have the kit at home, but i ran out of the gel. How can i recreate a white light activated teeth whitening gel?

Something like that you would want to get professional. Trying to do it yourself could cause complications. Good Luck

I know you want personal answers to the White-Light kit, I’ve never used it or even heard of it for that matter but I can shed some light on other ideas.

I use a pre whitening rinse before I brush my teeth. I’ve a noticed dramatic difference. =] of course I only drink coffee about three or four times a week and I rarely drink pop or tea. It does make a difference.

Recently I have been drinking a lot of green tea so tooth whitener came into mind. I am not sure if it is due to the tea but my teeth have discolored. How do I get my teeth sparkling white again? Anybody used a tooth whitener product that has worked out for them?

For cheap teeth whitening… add baking soda to your toothpaste when you’re brushing your teeth, it may taste gross but it whitens them up – it takes a few months to see anything but it should work. The issue with this is the result. It’s not going to be considerably white. If you want it "good" white, you need an alternative like the teeth whitening kits. My neighbor used it for a few days and I noticed it right away. She said she got the kit through a free trial from a website. Try the kit and if you don’t like it, stick with the baking soda for your cheap teeth whitening. I’ve already got mines shipped.

yes, i got the stuff from the dentist cuz it works faster than the over the counter stuff. DO it! u will not regret it…. a whiter smile makes u so much more confident.
